Autogas helps ‘fuel’ Red Marlin’s successful 2012

Leading LPG supplier Autogas is the latest high-profile automotive business to turn to Warwickshire public relations and marketing communications agency Red Marlin to help boost its profile.

Central to the programme of activity will be highlighting to motorists the key benefits of this increasingly popular fuel for cars. And with petrol prices at record levels, the cheaper running costs of driving on LPG will feature highly.

Indeed, LPG prices are typically around half of that of petrol, meaning savvy drivers can cut hundreds of pounds from their annual fuel bills. What’s more, vehicles running on LPG also produce far fewer harmful emissions than those running on traditional road fuels.

“We are delighted to have been selected by Autogas to help boost their PR and marketing,” comments Danny Rughoobeer, managing director, Red Marlin. “Never before has the cost of fuel been such a concern for drivers so this is a real opportunity to demonstrate our in-depth automotive knowledge and make even more motorists aware of the significant benefits of filling up with Autogas.”

Autogas was established in 2000 as a joint venture between Shell and Calor with the sole aim of making automotive LPG more readily available to motorists. There are currently 1,400 LPG refuelling stations in the UK. Autogas continues to invest heavily in its LPG infrastructure and will add a further 20 sites to its network during 2012 alone.

Paul Oxford, business development manager, Autogas, said: “Red Marlin showed a very clear and extensive understanding of not only the wider automotive industry, but also of our unique business challenges. They presented a number of interesting ideas which we are confident will deliver some exciting results for us. We had no doubt in awarding them the account and look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
