Gearing up for auction
This week at Red Marlin we’re preparing for our final classic car auction of the year, the CCA December Sale taking place at the Warwickshire Event Centre.
As our 14th auction of 2018 in our capacity as the PR agency for sister auction houses CCA and Silverstone Auctions, our comprehensive campaign is at full throttle to make the sale as successful as all those before it.
We also have the pleasure of seeing the huge catalogue of quality classics up close in the auction hall, where we will be hosting journalists as well as steaming live auction results throughout the sale on various social media channels.
The CCA December Sale has a catalogue of 152 quality classics, young and old. Ranging from a 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Club Coupe to a 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT, the full lot list spans across 70 years and has a total value of approximately £2m.
Headlining the sale is an iconic, high-performance 1990 BMW E30 M3 with an estimate of £35,000 to £40,000. Other highlights include an original condition 1972 Citroen SM, at £25,000 to £30,000, and an impressive 2007 Noble M12 GTO 3.0 twin-turbo guided at £30,000 to £35,000.
Among the mix of rare and low mileage cars on offer, a 1970 Morris Minor 1000 998 Saloon with just 3,020 recorded miles will be offered to raise money for the charity ‘Safe Families for Children, Wales’ – see this week’s Classic Car Weekly for a special news story on this car.
The sale is sure to be a fast paced and an action packed day, and next week we’ll be reporting the results, as well as getting straight onto the preparations for next year’s sales. Bring on 2019!
