Red Marlin attended the launch of The London Motor Show 2016

At last…The London Motor Show returns

Geneva, New York, Frankfurt, Paris, Detroit and Tokyo. What do all these cities have in common? They all host major international motor shows where some of the finest cars in the world are launched to the media and the rest of the car world. But one city, and country, is missing from that list, London and the UK.

Having not hosted a major international motor show since 2008, a new London Motor Show is set to return in 2016. Last month the Red Marlin team travelled to St. James’ Palace and joined the best and brightest of the automotive industry for this very special and exciting announcement, hosted by the Patron of the Show, Prince Michael of Kent.

TV presenter and renowned racing legend Tiff Needell, who was announced as President of the Show, excitingly spoke on the return of London to the international motor show scene.

“Global brands will be on show displaying their latest innovations, from telephone number price tag “hyper cars,” through hybrid executive machines and MPV and SUV, through to the smallest and most economic city cars and runabouts. Not simply a static display, The London Motor Show 2016 will allow all manner of dynamic driving experiences, both in the safety of leafy Battersea Park, and also on a race track via an exciting helicopter ride. If you are a “petrol head” or just need a car for work or home, The London Motor Show in Battersea Park is your must attend diary date for 2016.”

The British automotive industry has surged ahead in recent years and goes from strength to strength and last year contributed £60.5billion to the UK economy. But a new London Motor Show is so much more than a vanity project for the industry. It’s a chance to showcase our talent and products to the rest of the world and confirm that the UK is truly a significant player in the industry.

The show may be a year away, but automotive and motoring businesses large and small should relish the opportunities and attention that can come with not just attending the show but potential exposure to global markets with the spotlight on the British automotive industry.

But of course to truly take advantage of these an intelligent and properly thought out PR and marketing strategy needs to be in place. Building up significant PR and media coverage and allowing this awareness to gain traction and support growth takes time, and so there’s no time like the present for beginning your businesses’ PR push.

If you need a fresh PR strategy which will help your business grow don’t hold back and wait. At Red Marlin we can provide a whole host of bespoke PR and marketing services, designed to meet your individual challenges. To find out more give us a call on 01926 832395.
