Automotive PR agency Red Marlin June highlights

June’s automotive PR agency highlights

June was hot and so was the action at automotive PR agency Red Marlin. As well as continued international, national, regional and local media coverage for our clients, event season was in full swing. From tyre safety, to commercial vehicles and classic cars at a new auction venue, the Red Marlin team has been busy out on the road. Here are some of our highlights from June.

Automotive PR agency hits the road

June was one of the busiest months of the year so far for events, both for our clients and Red Marlin.

  • It started in fine style when classic car restoration specialist Clayton Classics displayed two fully restored Jaguar E-Types at Cars at the Spa. Thousands attended the popular charity event, now in its seventh year, in our hometown of Leamington Spa.
  • Account manager Joe Slinn was invited by Birmingham Live for an exclusive digital clinic hosted by Reach Solutions. The session offered valuable insight into how AI and data is transforming advertising – especially at a local level.
  • Influential trade events attended by Red Marlin included a busy Automechanika at the NEC in Birmingham which highlighted the latest in manufacturing, supply chain and the automotive aftermarket.
  • There was also Road Transport Expo in nearby Stoneleigh which had a strong showing from commercial vehicle manufacturers, fleet solutions providers and tyre manufacturers.

Helping young drivers save money

We helped leading driving experience provider DrivingExperience.com make the national press with its advice on how young drivers can reduce their car insurance costs.

Renowned media outlets, such as the Daily Record, were keen to share the news to help their younger readership to save money as they start to drive.

It’s a great example of how understanding what information audiences are looking for can boost effective PR and media relations, offering sensible advice while building credibility for our client in the press.

National headlines for driveway law change

Once again, our PR and media relations success for YourParkingSpace saw the popular online parking portal make the national headlines.

The Red Marlin team was quick to spot a PR opportunity following a law change, making it easier for homeowners to install an EV charge point and boost household incomes.

No sooner had the new legislation been announced, Red Marlin was in contact with our key media contacts and quickly secured valuable media exposure for our client, including in far-reaching publications like the Mirror.

Millbrook debut for auction house

Renowned auction house H&H Classics added to its auction venues by holding its first ever sale at the historic motoring venue of the UTAC Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire.

Red Marlin led a PR campaign in the build up to unveil the new location to the press, while also uncovering newsworthy entries from the lot listing. These notable classics were used, via press releases and conversations with trusted media contacts in the classic car and motoring outlets, to secure press coverage ahead of the sale.

A wide variety of publications showcased the star lots, including DriveSpark, while Red Marlin team members were in attendance at the auction to provide on-event support.

There were some notable successes at the sale including a stunning 1974 Jaguar E-Type V12 Roadster that was hammered away for £102,375, which is £22,375 over its lower estimate.
