BBC Radio teams are celebrating this week, particularly Nick Grimshaw, who appears to have reversed the audience decline following Chris Moyles’ departure adding an extra 700,000 listeners over the last three months.

A great week for the ram city. It was announced on Thursday that London’s new Crossrail trains will be built at Bombadier’s Derby plant creating 340 new jobs. A great bit of PR for the city and UK manufacturing.

Aston Martin

Not such a great week of publicity for Britain’s finest sports car maker. It was announced on Thursday that 75% of the companies cars built since 2007 were being recalled due to counterfeit plastics bought in from China.

2014 Winter Olympics

Winter

The 2014 Winter Olympics began on Friday in Sochi but the whole PR campaign leading up to the Games appears to have been a disaster. This has to be the most controversial sporting event to date.
