Red Marlin in the running for PR industry award
Red Marlin is in the running to receive a prestigious PR industry award after being shortlisted as a finalist in the PRmoment Awards 2024.
As one of five agencies to have been shortlisted in the Best Use of Research category, the Red Marlin team will discover the final outcome at a glitzy awards ceremony, to be held on 11 April in Manchester.
Red Marlin’s award entry focuses on one of its campaigns with the road safety charity, IAM RoadSmart. ‘Giving airtime to rider safety’ ran during 2023 and gave high profile awareness on TV, radio, online and in print about motorcycle rider safety. The campaign even attracted interest in parliament with discussions taking place about the removal of VAT from inflatable motorcycle jackets, an issue which could potentially save many lives, with one in five deaths on the UK’s roads being a motorcyclist.
Speaking on the nomination, Danny Rughoobeer, managing director Red Marlin said, “Congratulations to all the Red Marlin team who worked on the campaign. We were really proud of this work so it’s wonderful news that we’ve been recognised for our efforts by an esteemed panel of industry experts.
“In the world of automotive, road safety is an area which often gets overshadowed by other more glamorous topics, but it’s one that as an agency, we’re incredibly passionate about so it’s great to fly the flag for this area of the industry. We look forward to meeting our fellow finalists in Manchester and raising awareness of the topic even further.”
