Automotive marketing agency, Red Marlin

August’s automotive marketing agency highlights

The summer holiday was in full swing in August, but there was no rest for the team at automotive marketing agency Red Marlin.

There was continued national and regional press coverage for our clients, with subjects ranging from football parking hacks, through to A-list classic cars going under the hammer, plus much more besides.

Read on to discover August’s highlights.

Match winning PR coverage for start of football season

As the domestic football season started, our PR efforts resulted in national newspapers highlighting a clever parking hack used by customers of YourParkingSpace.

The Mirror and Daily Star were among those keen to help football fans looking for convenient match day parking by beating the traffic congestion near to stadiums.

The story focused on die-hard Brentford FC supporter Aidan Lemming who enjoys a quick getaway after home matches by parking a brief walk away in a YourParkingSpace spot in a nearby hotel car park.

The valuable media coverage appeared on very high-domain websites, with audience figures in the millions, providing YourParkingSpace with incredible brand exposure.

Expert motoring advice makes national headlines

Our work in August also saw multiple national news articles for DrivingExperience.com.

Following outreach by the Red Marlin team, popular online and print media outlets including GB News, The Mirror, and the Daily Express, advised readers to prepare now for car finance compensation payouts.

The high-profile news coverage was a clear example of using PR and media relations to leverage a topical issue, thereby positioning the client as a thought-leader, while also championing the interest of motorists.

We also shared our own thoughts on what this means for drivers and businesses in our recent blog.

Helping classic car owners cool off for summer

Summer is a great time to get out and about, not least if you have the luck of owning a classic car.

However, hot temperatures can make driving a classic car an uncomfortable experience if its not fitted with a world-class air conditioning system.

So, as the UK continued to enjoy an amazing summer, it was the perfect opportunity for Red Marlin to further highlight the incredible work of Clayton Classics and its discreet, and efficient, climate control systems through a combination of email marketing and digital content creation

New auction venue attracts star lots and media interest

It’s been an exciting time for renowned auction house H&H Classics as it looks to hold its first ever auction at Kelham Hall in Nottinghamshire in September.

Befitting the new venue, there are plenty of amazing classic cars going under the hammer, and for which Red Marlin has successfully secured media coverage in the build-up to the auction.

This included a 1963 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster, estimated at £650,000 to £750,000, appearing on BBC News online in the East Midlands, the home of the new venue.

There was also widespread media interest, including in The Sun, around a 1960 Jaguar Mk IX Saloon, the classic car that chauffeured the Princess of Wales and her children to the wedding of her sister, Pippa Middleton.

We’re looking forward to supporting the team at this prestigious new venue next month.

Summer fun at motor show

Red Marlin’s managing director, Danny Rughoobeer, made tracks to The British Motor Show in Hampshire.

The three-day automotive event showcased new cars, plus had plenty of action-packed displays including truck pulling, stunt shows and an 80’s arena.

It was a well-attended event underneath bright sunshine, proving to be a great family day out.
