Red Marlin man gearing up for Warwick Half Marathon

The famous theme tune from ‘Chariots of Fire’ will be ringing in the ears for one member of the team at specialist PR and communications agency Red Marlin, as they take part in the first ever Warwick Half Marathon.

Callum Chamberlain, PR administrator at the Leamington agency, will be running the race on the 17th of March, organised by the British Heart Foundation to raise money for research aimed at ending the suffering caused by heart disease.

The race starts and finishes at Warwick Castle, working its way 13.1 miles round the Warwickshire countryside and adds to a growing list of long distance races being held in the area.

Callum, 23, said, “It’s great to be taking part in the inaugural race and in what will hopefully become an annual event.”

The charity aims to raise £200,000 from holding the event, which could fund two PhD student’s pay and experimental costs for 3 years.

Callum added, “Every penny from generously donated sponsorship money helps the work of the BHF and in fighting heart disease. So we really need the good people of Leamington and Warwick to dig deep and sponsor those taking part in the race”.
