Red Marlin drives road safety improvements

The UK’s roads are likely to be a safer place this winter, thanks to the success of a recent PR campaign delivered by Warwickshire-based PR and communications agency, Red Marlin.

Tyre safety month ran throughout October with the aim of educating and reminding drivers about the importance of keeping their tyres properly inflated. And thanks to Red Marlin’s creativity and media know-how, the campaign was the client’s most high profile to date, with record levels of print, broadcast and online coverage as well as substantial levels of partner engagement, multiplying the impact further.

“Getting motorists and the media enthused and engaged about the topic of tyre safety is not an easy task, so it’s incredibly satisfying to see our campaign make such a dramatic impact,” comments Danny Rughoobeer, managing director, Red Marlin. “However, what’s even more rewarding than seeing masses of media coverage is the satisfaction we get from the knowledge that we are helping make our roads a much safer place and potentially saving lives.”

The campaign was a truly integrated affair including a number of digital resources such as animations and videos, as well as traditional point of sale materials that were all supported with strong news-led PR content. Such was the interest in the campaign that it was featured on several ITV news programmes, BBC regional radio as well as a plethora of print and online news outlets.
