A Classic weekend for team Red Marlin

Red Marlin’s team of PR and digital specialists was in the thick of the action last weekend at Silverstone circuit as it helped a number of clients make the most of their presence at the Silverstone Classic Festival.

As the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival, the event attracted more than 100,000 visitors across three days and the Red Marlin team played a pivotal role in helping its clients achieve success at the event.

Red Marlin’s planning and preparations for the event commenced months ago and culminated in a hive of activity in the run up to and during the weekend. On Wednesday we hosted motoring journalist Harry Metcalfe and created a video showcasing his top 10 lots from the Silverstone Auctions sales which was subsequently seen by more than 1million viewers. Thursday evening saw us supporting the first of three classic car auctions with on-site media relations and live social media support. The first proper day of the festival saw us hosting a number of journalists as tyre manufacturer Yokohama made its debut at the event. Further filming and photography assignments, social media and marketing support took place over the course of the weekend to make it a truly memorable and thoroughly enjoyable experience.
