The UK’s leading road safety charity, IAM RoadSmart, tasked Red Marlin to position the charity as a leading voice on the issue of drug-driving

  • Commissioned a survey of over 2,000 motorists to gauge public sentiment and drive media stories
  • Created and distributed four press releases highlighting key issues related to drug-driving
  • Developed a campaign brief sheet to distribute to key broadcast media targets
  • Organised a campaign broadcast day, highlighting the issue of motorists driving while under the influence of prescription drugs
  • Fully briefed campaign spokesperson with key messages, FAQs and caution points
  • Raised the issue with key stakeholders in government

The Results

  • Over 100 media cuttings across national, regional and trade publications (online and in print) with a total reach of over 160 million
  • More than a dozen broadcast interviews (TV and radio) with a reach of over 50 million, including Sky and BBC News
  • Engaged with 10 MPs (Conservative, opposition and House of Lords)
